Digital Mentors Helped Me Understand What Being An Author Is Really About!
I would never be where I am at this point in my writing career without my digital mentors from across the globe. And Who are these people? They were the ones that always answered my email no matter what the my question was. They seem to always replying with oodles of suggestions and most of all provided me samples for me to consider. At first, my questions were basic newbie ones. What format or software should I use? Should I enroll in KDP Select or not? Has anyone heard of Scrivener?
What I soon realized was the writing part was perhaps only 25% of the authoring process. The remaining is all about marketing. Whether you are self-publishing or have a publisher, YOU need to be the CEO of sales. So as I stepped into the digital world of Twitter and Facebook. I am blessed to have connected with my mentors. I find it mind-boggling how the internet and social media has allowed vast universities of knowledge on our screens.
